Hey there
Still unwinding from a weekend in Houston. I really had such a great time! And although I did not reveal the information in my previous post, I made a major purchase while in Houston.
Not that it was expensive, but well, it was major. I got a tattoo. It's a tattoo of my Campbell family crest. What many of you may not know is that my middle name is Campbell. It is also the name of my family clan in Scotland. We had one Irishman named McGonnigal who gave us the name, but for the most part we are descended from The Clan Campbell in Scotland.
I've been told by several that the artwork is really incredible. I agree, but I've never had a tattoo so I don't have anything to compare it to. You be the judge
So that's it. It turns out my middle name is also going to be a part of my production company...
I am going into commercial producing with my friend, Traci Klainer. She is a brilliant lighting designer who lit my Pippin concert last year. So we've been working on our company...and I'm going to spill a funny story.
One night we discussed what our company name would be...we decided on MSU Productions. We also agrees we would NEVER tell anyone what it meant exactly. So we've kept it a secret for a while. Today we had a lunch meeting with the writers of a show we are hopefully working on and one of the writers asked about our name and we swore not to tell what MSU stood for...Traci and I chuckled...
Then Ilene said..."You guys are just being silly and making shit up." I turned to Traci with fear in my eyes and grabbed her leg...she replied with "Jamie, we should have a meeting after this lunch meeting." So apparently we've decided "Making Shit Up" is perhaps not the best title for a new production company. So Campbell Renee it is, our middle names...which also incorporate my tattoo :)
That's about it for now. Oooh almost. I also stopped by my friend Adam Razak's place tonight to see some of his artwork (which my living room is currently littered with). And I will let you all know about his upcoming show. He is unbelievable.
That's it. Hope you're all well!

Hey there,
So I am back from a weekend in Houston at Kamikazecon, a brand new first-year anime convention.
I had such a blast meeting a whole slew of new people...a bunch of really cool fans and some brilliantly fun and funny voice actors and directors.
So a BIG thanks to all the Kamikazecon staff and everyone who helped make it such an amazing weekend. I was really thrilled to be a part of it!
What else is going on? Working on Standing Ovations 3 at Joe's Pub for April 17th, produced by BroadwayWorld.com. I'm also in talks to possibly produce my first commercial off-broadway show with my friend Traci Klainer.
Hmmm...what else? that's all I can think of right now...I need some more sleep!
Hope you are all well and hello to all my new rockin new friends!!! You know who you are!!!
