My favorite quote I've read today...

"You know, you have to look good. We know that. As a young actress, you have to work on your body. We're talking about the movies. We're talking about a movie star. We're not talking about somebody in New York, emoting."

-Mommie Dearest star, Faye Dunaway on the challenges of film acting.

Hey there,

All well here in NYC...been crazy working on three projects for February. First is Laura Benanti's show "Blame it on my Youth" at Feinstien's on February 7th. Her show is going to be fantastic-working with BKLYN Musical Director James Sampliner on it and I can guarantee it's going to be a great evening.

Secondly, we are working on the second annual embrace! Concert for The Matthew Shepard Foundation on Thursday, February 17th at 7PM. A press release for that will be going out shortly.

And last but by no means least, "Unexpected Songs; The Lesser known Tunes of Andrew Lloyd Webber" Produced by Robert Diamond and BroadwayWorld.com with some guidance by the lovely and talented Eddie Varley. This will take place on Monday, February 21st at Joe's Pub.

So, yes very busy.

Last night I had the pleasure of sharing a table with Stephen Schwartz, Lance Horne and Chris Fuller-two writers and a fellow anime superstar-at "THE SEXLESS YEARS," a new cabaret from the amazingly talented Kate Pazakis. I really can't wait to see what this girl is doing in a year. She's so unbelieable onstage and has a commitment to what she does that is a rarity. Anyway, she's there a few more Monday nights at the Duplex-check her out!

That's about it for now I think...Lots to do the last Monday in February apparently-a star-studded concert at Joe's Pub of Jim Steinman music, Also at Joe's Pub, the lovely and talented Jesse Tyler Ferguson, and uptown at the new Jazz at Lincoln Center space is a benefit for the Actor's Fund featuring Queer Eye Culture Guru and good buddy, Jai Rodriguez-if I could check them all out, I would, but hopefully NONE of you will be staying in that night!

Much Love, Jamie
