Since I'm clearly not busy enough with just one major benefit concert...

Actually, this is also becoming a concert series for me that I love SO much. Last year we did it at The Supper Club with Stephanie J Block, Randy Redd, Julia Murney, Max von Essen, Deven May, Randy Redd and me...This year, we're at Joe's Pub and I couldn't be more excited about it. I got some great peeps and it will be a warm happy holiday evening for everyone. Hope to see you there!

Dear Mr. President,

Don't Fuck With Me. I did not vote for you, not last time when you stole the election and not this time when in my heart of hearts, I still doubt the validity of your success. Your "leadership," (and I use that term very loosely), has quite obviously been lacking. In fact, if you were working in an office like many Americans do, day in and day out, you would have been sacked 3 1/2 years ago when you barely showed up to the office in the first six months of your term.

I am angry, depressed and most of all frightened. I am angry at my own party for not having the ability to dethrone the most dictatorial president this country has ever had. I am depressed because I know you are going to be responsible for thousands upon thousands more deaths. And I am frightened because with your party now running all three branches of government, I, a gay man living in New York City, will more than likely become a non-citizen in the next four years. One by one, you will take away my rights and I won't stand for it. I will die fighting. Every woman who voted for you should be ashamed...their obviously uninformed vote will cause their own liberties to be stolen away from them. The Supreme Court of the country will be hijacked by "activist judges" who feel a woman's right to choose should actually be the court's right to choose. I am beginning to see a bit of Charlemagne in you...if you read books, you'd know Charlemagne was the Emperor of the Holy Roman Empire. He tried to conquer the world, killed thousands doing so, all in the name of Christ. Sound familiar? Except you keep trying to exchange "Christ" with "Democracy," a word you clearly know nothing about.

In short, Mr. President, you have re-inherited a country that is angry with you, a country that does not trust you, and a country that will no longer stand for your lies. The galvanized majority WILL succeed, and you WILL pay for the evil you have done. If there is justice in the world, you will be shown it. The grief of thousands of parents who mourn for the loss of their sons and daughters in Iraq now belongs to you. In thirty years, when Roe v. Wade has been overturned, the blood of not only pregnant women, but their non-medically aborted children will also be on your hands.

Your win was not by a large margin, as you know. Your win was by less than half the people who live on the island of Manhattan. That's not a lot. Know you are untrusted and hated not only here, but particularly abroad. I pray the world doesn't stand for it. I know I can no longer.
