Well Hello

I've gotten up off the floor after a crazy-ass week or two. SNOOPY was a huge success as you might have read-we raised over $70,000 for The Pied Piper Children's Theatre of NYC. And a ball was had by all! There are some great pictures on BroadwayWorld.com as well as Broadway.com and Theatermania.com-check em out!

Now very busy with work on The New York Musical Theatre Festival coming in the Fall, as well as directing the new play 7 REECE MEWS at The Bank Street Theatre at the end of May, Directing the sold-out Standing Ovations Concert for Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, produced by BroadwayWorld.com, and performing in the musical 108 WAVERLY as part of GAYFEST May 5-8...wow...when I write it down, it sure does seem like I am busy.

I have also been seeing a lot of theatre...saw Johnny Guitar at the Century Center down off Union Square- I highly recommend it, a fantastic cast and some wonderful songs-great for fans of campy humor. I also had the honor of being Raul Esparza's guest to see The Normal Heart at the Public Theatre-clearly one of the finest productions I have had the pleasure of seeing in my entire life. Also-don't miss BARE! It opened last night at the American Theatre of Actors-I would tell you it's brilliant, but you don't need me to-the reviews I am certain will say it all and it will sell out and go on forever and ever amen.

That's about it for now...
almost...

I just want to say how incredibly grateful I am to have such amazing people in my life. Everyday I am touched by acts of kindness that I never thought I deserved-the most important acts I'm referring to, are the ones that remind me that I do deserve them, we all do.

Hey there

It's Friday night...just two nights till SNOOPY!!! I'm having a wonderful time working with this incredible group of people. It sounds strange since she is pretty much the same age as I am, but I look up to Sutton Foster so much. She is truly one of the best people I've ever met. She would have trouble hearing that from me because she is so very modest about her own talents. But I say it to anyone who will read this now...I hope to one day be as wonderful a person as she is.

This whole group of people is just incredible. Hunter, Jen, Ann, Deven, and Christian have also just been so great to watch...I think people will be SO surprised by the incredible performances from Christian and Jen especially. They arent as well known in the community as some of the others in the cast and they are SO fantastic in this performance...I'm just so moved by everyone's dedication and extremely hard work.

I'm also moved by how many people have purchased tickets and given money to this event...When signing on to do this event, I obviously wanted to work with Sutton, but more importantly, the Pied Piper Children's Theatre provides such an incredible opportunity to so many young people...an opportunity I really wish I had as a young kid...so that's a big reason why I am so incredible moved at all of the rousing support we have received.

And while you're showing your support for them, go visit www.broadwayworld.com...this website has been SO supportive of SNOOPY and of just about anything I've been working on...so thanks Craig and Rob-you guys are amazing and Im looking forward to the next project!

That's about it for now, rehearsal early in the morning!
