Hey there,
Here we are...about two weeks after CHILDREN OF EDEN. As many of you know, it was a great success and I am SO grateful to all that helped make it so. From what I heard last, it raised somewhere between $25-50,000 for the York Theatre and The National AIDS Fund.
I returned home at about 4:30 AM after the concert to find my apartment had been broken into...no good at all, but I must say I felt so wonderful after the evening I'd had, that the loss of nearly 200 DVDs as well as a few laptops didn't matter all that much to me. Annoying, yes...but not the end of the world.
I am now very busy working on MIRACLE ON 47TH STREET, to be presented Monday, Dec 15 at the King Kong Room and Max von Essen's sold-out cabaret to be presented at the ARS NOVA Theatre on W 54th, January 5th (and recently extended to January 19th as well). I am also co-producing SNOOPY The Musical in concert with Sutton Foster, and producing and directing WORKING In Concert for the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgendered Community Center. That will take place in April at the Lucille Lortel. So, yes, I am staying busy.
Thank you to everyone who has sent letters and notes about Children of Eden and my subsequent robbery-your kind words are VERY much appreciated. If you check out the NEWS Page of this site you can see some fun stuff-pictures from Children..., an interview with me on Broadwayworld.com and articles and reviews.
I hope you all have very happy holidays!
Love, Jamie
