Hi!

All is well here in NYC...I had an incredible time yesterday up in Middleburgh, NY for my friend Daisy's wedding. It was so unbelievably beautiful...she looked so incredible. I made some new friends, Kay Walbye and Jay Lowman...I rode up there with Jay and Henry (the sweetest puppy I've seen in a long time). And then I rode home with Kay this morning. Kay is an incredible performer currently appearing in Urinetown-don't miss her in it!

I sat next to the lovely Alison Fraser, her son, Nat and the adorable John Babcock (who appeared opposite Daisy in The Secret Garden). We laughed, hooted and hollered as the Comer family (from the deep South) met the Eagan family...(let's just say NOT from the Deep South). It was a great time had by all at the rustic Best Western on the hill, next to the "Hamlet of Preston Holler"...okay it was Hollow, but you just have to pronounce it Holler-much more fun.

I've been really busy putting together the Children of Eden Concert for December 1st...loads of work to do for that, and then the educational program at the York which is also starting soon. Anyone wanna help?

Hope you are all well!

Hey there,

Very busy here, Sorry not to have posted in so long! What with birthdays and blackouts, it's been a hectic time. I was in the recording studio when the blackout of ought 3 occurred. I was actually helping to cast a new feature theatrical release for Media Blasters. I had a friend in the studio and he had just finished auditioning when the lights went out. So I hung out there for a little while with them and Mike Sinterniklaas, then started wandering south through Chelsea. I found my way to a few friend's apartments. trudging up seven flighs to one of them, 6 to another and throwing pennies at the window of yet another. I ended up staying with my friend Pat. Pat's a brilliant composer who I've spoken of out here before. We sat around his place and I sang some while he played the piano, then we went out and had some drinks in the pitch black...needless to say, it was interesting and a lot of fun.

How strange was it seeing this big bright city with no electricity? I kept comparing it to 9/11, expect of course there was no fear really and it was really not at all depressing. Just NYC with no rules...in a good way, because the crime was not as high as it could have been...that was really encouraging.

I ended up having lunch with my friends Vicki and Matthew yesterday. They are great, we had a really nice time, had some lunch and some popcorn from POPCORN, INDIANA-BRILLIANT POPCORN near Times Sq. Then I went to my friend Sue's to see if she was home... She was and she was having a fondue party with Sammi and Dyann already there. So we hung out there, ate too much food, watched some Queer as Folk, some old videos of Easter Bonnets and Broadway Bares, and then Denver came over...Dyann's gay brother...and he put trampy makeup on Dyann and himself. and a little glitter ended up on my face somehow as well. So that was my blackout experience. Now I am home and off to see Avenue Q again tonight.

Lots going on at the York as well. Starting the Educational program soon and will be doing a major benefit on December 1st...more on that later. And lots of readings happening...PLAYBOY OF THE WESTERN WORLD will be read at Manhattan Theatre Club on August 25th (Closed reading), then sometime in early September most likely, we will have a backer's audition for Isabelle and the Pretty Ugly Spell, which should be a lot of fun! Also singing songs for Emily Jenkins and Tony Scheitinger (Archie's Girls) for BMI on the same day, and a reading of the second act of another musical by Andrew Gerle and Eddie Sugarman the same day...if I'm alive.

Thats it for now I think...Hope you are all well!

Hey there!
I've been back from what was a wonderful experience at the Depot for a few weeks now! It was truly a blast and artistically very fulfilling. I had the great opportunity to work with some wonderful people I'd never met or worked with before. Michael Unger is a wonderful young director who I hope to be working with again soon.

I've been busy helping to put together a educational program at the York and helping to cast my friend Brian's reading there. THE WHEEL will be performed there on Aug 17th I believe.

And then on August 25 I will be performing in a closed reading of a new musical version of "The Playboy of the Western World" at the Duke Theatre on 42nd Street.

And my birthday is coming up on Aug 6th, next Wednesday! WOOHOO!

Hope you're all well..Thanks for visiting the site.

As soon as the lovely and talented Sammi has a chance, she'll have pictures up from the Neo concert and some from the Mikado. She's been crazy with her real work and her birthday is coming up soon too...drop her a line and tell her happy birthday!!!

CONGRATS TO AVENUE Q!!!
