Hey there...
Audition season is upon us. I've been keeping busy with those for the most part and rehearsing The Children's Requiem, which will be performed a week from today at Lincoln Center. I'm also spending some time in the studio this week recording for my anime, Weiss Kreuz...speaking of anime...I have been asked to host a chat for anime fans on www.animationhq.net and I have also been asked to be a guest of honor for Anime Boston 2003, the Boston Anime Convention, which will be held in April of 2003. Talk about planning ahead!Anywho, I think that's about it on my front. I hope you are all well!

Hey...It's been a busy week. I had new headshots taken by my friend Stephen Mosher, who I recommend highly to any people currently in need of new shots. His client list includes Susan Egan, Judi Dench, Donna Murphy and dozens of other well known performers. He is also extremely affordable, so if you'd like his contact information, please feel free to email me at the website address, JMcGsite@hotmail.com.
I have been busy in rehearsal for "The Children's Requiem", which is going to be performed at Lincoln Center's Alice Tully Hall on February 4th...see the link on the welcome page of my site for more details.
I was very excited to perform in another reading of "Archie's Girls," written by a very pregnant Emily Jenkins and Tony Scheittinger. We performed the reading last Spring for the BMI Musical Theatre Composer's Workshop. Upon finding great success in the workshop with their piece, Tony and Emily decided to present it for the people at Archie Comics, in hopes to get the rights to produce it as a full length musical. We will see whether or not that happens...but here's to hopin'!
I saw the Gallery Players' production of Joseph last night out in a very snowy Brooklyn. It was a delightful evening overall, with many friends in the cast, I didn't have a choice but to have a great time! My friend Sue Gilad played the narrator along with Kevin Loreque as Joseph...they were wonderful! As I said, I had a great time and I thank them all for their performances. I also saw a lot of old friends who were in attendance. And John Fischer an old musical director friend of mine, came with me and we made a big fun evening of it.
I believe that is all the news that is fit to print right now...I hope anyone reading this is well and happy and covered in this beautiful white snow! Hopefully it will remain white here in NYC longer than a few hours!

Okay,
Im spending the week auditioning for lots of stuff... Tonight I was very excited to watch a new show on Bravo called "The IT Factor." It's a reality TV show following 12 New York Actors, some of whom I am friends with, so its really exciting. But either way, its a great show and I recommend anyone who wants to know what we go through on a day-to-day basis, to watch it. Not a lot else going on at the moment...I'm getting some new headshots done by Stephen Mosher next week (A Headshot photographer I recommend highly to anyone). If anyone would like his information or references, please feel free to contact me. He's very talented and very reasonably priced. So that's about it for now. Hope all is great with everyone!Love, Jamie

Hi There!
HAPPY 2002!!! I hope anyone reading this had a wonderful set o' holidays. I've spent the past few days sweeping up pine needles from a tree which I can only refer to as a great fire hazard. All seems well here in NYC, auditions and such will be picking up this month. And Anime is staying exciting, with work beginning on the next few episodes of Magic User's Club as well as Knight Hunters. I will also be presenting a ten-minute version of an Archie musical which I worked on last Spring for some writers in the BMI Musical Theatre Workshop. We are presenting it for the people at Archie Comics in hopes that they will grant the writers permission to make a full musical based on Archie, Betty and Veronica...In the meantime on a different note, I am sending my thoughts and prayers to my friend Carrie Hamilton who has, taken a turn for the worse in her battle against cancer. Please, if you read this, send a positive thought to her and her family in California. Much love Carrie!
